In June of 2018, we traveled to Indiana and Pennsylvania to find some outstanding kunekune pigs.
What is a kunekune?
Kunekune's are a grazing pig from New Zealand. They are recognized by their long hair, big ears and wattles. Kune's are a medium sized pig, sows growing to about 24 inches at the shoulder and weighing up to 140 pounds. They make great pets and outstanding additions to hobby farms since they are very dog like. Our kunes love to flop over on their sides for belly rubs and sit for treats. They also follow us around like puppy dogs.
What do kunekune's eat?
Kunes eat pasture grass, commercial feed, fruits and vegetables and hay.
